Hi Rob!! Another mad Dex fan from Australia. I live in NSW and have been addicted for a while. If you haven't already, the books are also a fantastic read. I have the new one, Dexter by Design on the way. Hopefully will have it by end of the week.
Are you watching season 4? BLOODY BRILLIANT SO FAR!!!
Hope to chat soon.

Hey SliceandDice… I was hooked forever since watching the 1st episode. The books are damn good. If find Lindsay's writing style very easy going and Dexter's inner monologue is much darker.. and sometimes much funnier than the series. I'm only in the middle Dearly Devoted Dexter. I find that the character differences between the novels and series a bit confusing at times.
My verdict is the series is actually better, taking into account that watching the series first may make me a little biased. How about you? Which do you think is better?

Hey Rob!! Thanks for replying. The series have been fleshed out (excuse the pun) and makes it even more suspenseful. The books actually have me laughing out loud at times. I am glad that during the series Deb doesn't know the truth about Dexter as compared to the book. I am in the middle of watching ep 6 of season 4. I wonder how long it will be before the truth is revealed to Deb?
Series 5 should be a mind blower too!!!!

Welcome Rob, that's a pretty good G'day for an Irish bloke ;-)
Hahaha I know the feeling, I watched the whole first season in a week, then the 2nd the next! After that unfortunately I caught up with the states so back to week-to-week.. very frustrating. Nothing better than marathoning a great show like Dexter :-D
Cool, the more outspoken and blabby people here the better! Put your gf in a room and lock her in there until she's caught up… would that work?

G'day from Sydney I just finished watching the first 3 seasons a couple weeks ago and I am watching the 4th season on tv. Its not enough Dexter for me so I figured I'd join a dedicated Dexter discussion forum.
