A Bay Harbour Butcher copycat killer is on the loose, Dexter plans to use this to his advantage until Agent Lundy announces that unless they find him, the FBI will take over the investigation which would lead Miami to be full of feds, all looking for Dexter. Upon learning his mother was a Police Informant to Harry, Dexter begins to question his step-fathers’ motivation in adopting him. Rita’s calculating mother suggests they invite Lila to dinner. The dinner party goes well but leads to Rita finding out that Dexter and Lila had spent the night together in a hotel during thier recent roadtrip.
