Now that Doakes is securely locked away, Dexter makes a difficult decision determining his next move. The FBI step up their efforts to find Doakes, but LaGuerta is determined to prove his innocence to Lundy. Rita slowly begins to trust Dexter again and wishes to keep him in her life. A strange relationship between Dexter and Doakes grows leading from a terrible secret that Doakes suspects about Harrys’ death, shattering Dexter’s entire childhood. Batista ignores advice from Dexter regarding Lila’s motives. Debra’s affair with Lundy is put under strain as she realises that the Bay Harbour Butcher case ends, so will thier relationship.
