The department investigates a suicide of a powerful and successful woman, which leads Dexter to investigate similar suicides and he discovers that all the women had the same psychiatrist, Dr Emmet Merridian. Eager to find if the shrink meets Harry’s ‘code’, Dexter attends the shrink’s practice masquerading as a patient and unwittingly opens up to him and delves deeper into his own past. Rita is warmed by Paul’s charm and believes his claims to be a changed man. She also wishes to escalate her relationship with Dexter, while he is afraid to consummate. Love certainly seems to be in the air for Debra and Rudy as their relationship heats up.
